Abstract
The purpose of this research is to enhance students' mastery of English vocabularythrough the Suggestopedia method and Word Search games at SMP N 3 Kota Sorong.This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach.The population in this study is the seventh-grade students of SMP N 3 Kota Sorong.The sample of this study consists of 20 seventh-grade students from class VII B. Indata collection, the researcher administered pre-tests and post-tests in the form ofmultiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions focusing on verb vocabulary. Toanalyze the data, the researcher used the IBM SPSS Statistics 30.0 program. Theresults of the paired sample t-test show that the significance value (2-tailed) is lessthan 0.05. This indicates that the Null Hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the AlternativeHypothesis (H₁) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Suggestopedia methodand Word Search game are effective in enhancing the vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at SMP N 3 Kota Sorong. The implication of this research was thatthese methods increased students’ motivation and confidence in using vocabularythrough engaging and interactive learning. Teachers were encouraged to apply thesemethods in classroom activities. However, this research was limited by the smallsample size, the focus only on verb vocabulary, the short duration of treatment, andthe absence of a control group
