Abstract

The objective of this research is to know wheter or not visual grammar cuesimpact students mastery in writing simple present tense at MTs Muhammadiyah 1Salawat. This research employed pre-expeimental design. The population of thisresearch is eight grade of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Salawati. The sample of thisresearch was VIIIB consists of 22 students. In the collecting data, the researcherassign student to complete the sentence based on picture and changing positive andnegative sentence based on the picture. In analyzed the data researcher used IBMSPSS statistics 25.0 program to calculation the data. The Null Hypothesis (H0)rejected and the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accept. After analyzed data the resultof paired sample t-test. In addition to result of sig. (2-tailed) is 0,00, which thatsmall than 0,05. It means the visual grammar cues impacted the students' masteryin writing simple present tense at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Salawati. The results ofthis study indicate that the use of Visual Grammar Cues impact in students'understanding of the Simple Present Tense in writing. Visual Grammar Cues can beused as an alternative method in grammar learning, particularly in understandingand applying the Simple Present Tense. A visual-based approach can help studentswith a visual learning style to more easily comprehend sentence patterns andgrammar rules. Considering the results of this study, it is hoped that the VisualGrammar Cues method can be more widely implemented in English languagelearning to enhance students' understanding of grammar.
