Abstract
One of the important elements in learning English is the ability is readingcomprehension. Every student must be able to understand the text they read inorder to grasp its meaning and content. And one of the most prominent issuesamong students is related to reading comprehension. The objective of thisresearch is to determine the impact on students' reading comprehension at SMPNegeri 15 Sorong Regency by implementing the story-mapping strategy andhangman game. This research employs a quantitative approach with 18 studentsfrom class VIII of SMP Negeri 15 Sorong Regency as the subjects. Theassessment instrument used by the author consists of 20 multiple-choice questionson narrative texts. After Analyzed the result of paired sample T-test, theAlternative hypothesis which said that The Implementation of Story MappingStrategy and Hangman Games is accepted and the Null hypothesis is rejected. Inaddition to result of P-Value (0.000) than smaller P-value (0.05).It means that thestudents’ Reading Comprehension score between pre-test and post-test issignificantly different. It can be concluded that Story Mapping and HangmanGames impacts the students’ Reading Comprehension
