Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the english students’ perception andattitude towards blended learning pasca COVID-19 at English Education Programof UNIMUDA Sorong. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative.Semester 1-7 of English Education Department in UNIMUDA Sorong was chosenby the researcher as sample which consists of 20 students. In collecting data, theresearcher used questionnaire and interview, it is consist of 36 close-endedquestionnaire which cover the point to answer the students’attitude, negativepositive impresions, and concept of blended learning. interview, it is consist of 6questions which cover the point to answer the students’ perception. From the result,it showed that there are 13 of 20 students’ perception about like towards blendedlearning. It was because of the eficiency, creativity and effectivity, joyful andinteresting, flexible, and easy to understand. On the other hand, there are somestudents’ dislike towards blended learning because of the unsycronous materialbetween online and offline class and uncommunicative. Deals with the positiveimpact or advantage of blended learning, the students knowledge about new mediaand learning outcomes is improved, they become independent learning, andinteractive. In comparison, the negative impact or disadvantage of blended learningare inadequate facilities and infrastructure, unstable network connection, time andmoney consuming, limited time, and distracted by another application. Based onthe questionnaire result, the students have positive attitude towards blendedlearning. In contrast, the students behaviour in the classroom is negative, such asthe students enter the classroom late, fall asleep with their heads on the table, leavethe classroom, and take a part in conversation with other friends, turning off thecamera and sleep and ignore the explanation of the lecturer in online learning.
