Abstract

In conducting this research, the researcher used pre-experimental design. Theresearcher used one class as the sample. The sample is the students at the tenth ofaccounting class which is consist of 12 students. The instrument used by in thisresearch was 20 multiple choice test. For the technique collecting data, theresearcher used pre-test and post-test. In analyze the data, the researcher usedpaired sample T-test in SPSS version 26. The result show, the significant score is0.781, and in the post-test, the significant score is 0.708. So, in both the pre-testand post-test, the data is distributed normally because the significant score ishigher than 0.05, because Ho is accepted if Sig. P(value) > alpha = 0.05 while Hais accepted if Sig. P(value) < alpha = 0.05. while the result of paired sample T-test, according to hypothesis testing criteria that t-value (-16.912) < t-table(1.796) and P-value (0.000) < alpha = 0.05. It can be concluded that CIRC andWord Mapping impact the students reading comprehension. The impact thatoccured after used the CIRC method and word mapping in readingcomprehension are that students can improve their reading comprehension skills,students become more active in class, the classroom atmosphere becomes moreenjoyable, students get lots of new vocabulary and their meanings, and studentsalso can improve their comprehension in descriptive text.
